I'm relocating to the North Shore area which means I need to get a new job. I already applied to GAP and I'm inquiring about a position at Crunchy Granola Baby. I'm planning to work part-time until I can secure a full time job. Hope things go well.

Just when things are getting better, life gets harder. I hate it. Thank goodness for music and friends. What will I do without them. Also, thank goodness for nice bosses who will try to help you when I'm in need. Rita and Ahmad both helped me in soo many ways, especially Ahmad. Gotta love them.
The only way to survive is to persevere, work hard, and have faith in what you do and love.

The best time of the year is definitely October. I mean fall starts in September, but it doesn't start getting crisp outside till October. I love how the leaves change. The foliage is soooo nice to look at. I love all the smells and tastes of autumn. Pumpkin, apple, nutmeg, cinnamon, etc = yummmmy! The weather is just right to wear a cozy sweater or a comfy sweatshirt. I love cuddling in the fall too ^__^. Hopefully we have a decent winter, the not too frigid and not too stormy ones.

So, I've been job hunting for a full time job since like February/March. I'm getting no where. I have a part-time job for now but Brigham's isn't doing too well so I'm looking for another part-time job just in case Brigham's goes under.
I've thinking about Eaton Apothecary, Quebrada Bakery, Whole Foods Market, Blockbuster, and this daycare place just down the street from where I live.
If Brigham's survives until I get a full time job, then great. I hope Brigham's lasts for a while actually. I love Brigham's. I'm way too attached to it. It's like my second home, sadly enough.
I'm working at my internship in Boston until the end of December. Hopefully, I can find a full time job by then. If not, then I will work two part-time jobs until I do. I'm pretty sure something will turn up next year. Well, that's if the economy is better in 2010. *crosses fingers*

| Health Insurance |
[24 Aug 2009|11:35pm] |
Apparently I qualify for Commonwealth Choice, which is a good thing. I hope I can choose Neighborhood Health Plan again. Almost all of my doctors take NHP. Meds will be really cheap and free co-pay! I'm wicked psyched. This is better than Christmas....well, almost. Lol. But cheap meds and free co-pay is something I definitely need. I can finally get that physical done. I can get my eyes checked so I can get new glasses. I'm long past due for new glasses. I can see my allergist and a dermatologist without worrying about paying hundreds of dollars.
Let's hope I get all the paperwork before I have my physical. I have about one month to verify and get my card.

Today was insanely hot which means everyone wants something to cool them down. Brigham's was beyond out of control tonight. The line was basically out of the door, and we only had very limited flavors by the end of the night. The flavors that we had at 9 p.m. included vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, rainbow sherbet, orange sherbet, big dig, maple walnut, butter pecan, mocha almond, heath bar crunch froyo, and coffee froyo. It was horrible to tell people we were out of basically everything. The good thing is that Meghan and I made $29.25 each in tips, which is pretty sweet.
Tomorrow is going to be another scorcher. I'm dreading taking the T to and from my internship in Boston. At least I'm on the waterfront so hopefully there will be a nice breeze. Two more weeks of the internship before the fall internship starts. I renewed my internship for the fall. Hopefully the experience will eventually lead me to a job somewhere within a year. My goal is to score a full time job before next May.

| You Paint the World with Deep Colors | You are a true individual. You are very unique. Your friends can count on you to be expressive. You're never at a loss for words.
You are a truly warm person ... though sometimes you can be a bit selfish. You are keyed into your emotions and easily moved. You are quite sensitive. |

| Things are improving |
[04 Aug 2009|11:19pm] |
Mom is getting better which is definitely good. Job hunt is still meh and I'm playing the waiting game for health insurance processing. I hope I can get at least a good health insurance plan that covers meds, ER, doctor's visits, and basic necessities like that.
The job hunt is harder than I thought. When I started looking for an internship in October, I didn't know it will take till May to score an internship. I started looking for a job in February/March. I might have to get it some more time...like at least till winter in order to find something half way decent. My expectations are too high. I should lower them.

Everything was going really well after graduation until I realized that my health insurance is running out. I have till July 31, 2009 before I'm health insurance less. And to make it worst, my mom hasn't been feeling better for two weeks. She's so sick she had to take the whole week off from work this week. She has some kind of painful pressure in her ears. Her ear infection went away, but I think she has eustachian tube dysfunction. None of the doctors can figure out what's wrong. All my sister and I can do is basically go to work and take care of her at home after work. I would stay home 24/7, but I need to work to save some money to pay bills for the days she can't work. I don't know what to do.
I mean I don't mind walking to the T station or walking to Brigham's or back home from either of those places. I know it's my fault for not having a driving license as well. But even if I had one, I have no car to drive since I have to leave a car for my mom at home just in case she needs to go out to get some air. Plus, having one really old car, we have to make sure nothing happens to it. Even if I have a permit, I can't drive unless someone is 21-years-old or over. I wouldn't trust myself driving even if I had a license. I'm not that confident to drive yet even though I took 10 lessons and practiced a lot.
I think if my family didn't have financial problems, we can do so much more to better our lives. I mean my mom's health insurance limits the amount of doctors she can see. Thank goodness she doesn't have my health insurance. Mine doesn't cover any doctor's visits at all...just meds and ER.
I hope everything will get better. I know things have to get bad before they get better. It's always like that, unfortunately.

Thursday, July 16, 2009 was RENT's opening night. All I can say that the musical was amazing! Loved it. It was breathtaking. The after party was a nice way to end the night. The cast was there, RENT's producer, a few of us from Playbill, etc.
I have to give thanks to my boss, Rita, and her boss, Tim, for letting me attend the night's festivities. It was a nice token of appreciation.

What can I say? I love Harry Potter but the movie was disappointing. I was okay with the smaller changes within the whole entire movie due to less character introductions, but completely botching the ending is NOT okay.

So far my internship is awesome. I go in between 9:30-10 and leave at 5, get 30-60 minutes of lunch, and get to do a lot of fun projects. The other two interns and I researched companies that might be able to sponsor one of our events. We ended up cold calling at least 50 companies, but some of them are calling us back being interested. Good news for us. We started RENT promotion already at the Copley Place and Prudential. My boss asked me to come up with designs for a new logo for New Venture Media Group and business cards. Ian and Laura, the other interns, will be working with me till August. We three have to have a media kit done by Tuesday to send to potential sponsors. I'm so glad that within my first week of the internship, I actually get to do REAL work and get REAL experience. I can't wait to build my portfolio.
Other working Tuesday-THursday at Panorama/Playbill, I work at Brigham's Friday-Monday. It's a lot of work but I need the money from Brigham's since the internship is unpaid.
